About Me
(Alison Vig)
I have loved dogs since I was a child but never knew that they would make me the person I am today. I spent years convincing my parents to get me a dog and when I was 9 my dream came true. I got my heart dog Faolan, a little sheltie, and began taking obedience and agility classes. I taught him all the tricks I could think of from skateboarding to jump roping. We soon started competing in agility and made it to the masters level and even did a show at the fair.
Years later I got another sheltie named Carmel. He had severe insecurities and would bolt at loud noises and random objects. He was my first dog that really challenged me to become better. With patience and consistency he became more confident and turned into a super fun and outgoing companion.
I began working with several amazing trainers to grow my knowledge and skills. As I grew older I expanded into different areas of training with my Shepherd Quigley. We trained in competition obedience, dock diving and recently Search and Rescue. She is now my demo dog for classes private sessions and loves to tag along to sessions.
Faolan
Faolan has been my best friend ever since we first met. He is such a smart dog who loves to show off and has a patient and fun temperament. He is the one that sparked a passion for dog training. He knows well over 60 behaviors and many impressive stunt tricks. We competed in agility for a number of years and did shows at the fair. Today he is 12 and has retired from competitions although he still enjoys practicing his tricks and being a demo dog in classes.
Carmel
Carmel is a special dog, who had some severe insecurities when we first got him. He couldn’t go on a walk without being terrified of his surroundings. He was the first dog who really helped me understand dogs with these behaviors and watching his confidence grow was the most rewarding experience. Carmel is a very high drive sheltie who loves to play fetch, go on hikes and show off his tricks.
Quigley
Quigley is my first shepherd and made me fall in love with the breed. She has the most goofy personality and loves everyone she meets. I have tried out several sports and disciplines with her but she has taken to Search and Rescue. We have joined a local team and have started Cadaver training. I couldn’t have asked for a better more willing to work companion.
