Meet Your Trainer

Hi, I’m Alison, and my journey with dogs started early. I got my first dog, Faolan, when I was just 9 years old, and by the time I was 12, I was already competing in agility. That early experience sparked a lifelong passion for training and the unique bond between humans and dogs.

As I grew, so did my dedication. I’m now an active member of my local Search and Rescue team, working alongside my German Shepherd, Quigley. We are a nationally certified K9 team in HRD (human remain detection). Together, we train regularly and deploy for real-world missions.

To expand my skills, I completed internships with American K9s in Cincinnati Ohio, where I assisted in the training and daily care of both narcotic and explosive detection dogs. That experience gave me hands-on insight into the world of working dogs and deepened my understanding of drive development, scent work, and precision training at a professional level.

With a background that spans sport, companion, and working dog environments, I take a balanced, real-world approach to training. Whether your goals are performance-based or practical, I focus on building clear communication, confidence, and trust between you and your dog.

Faolan

Faolan has been my best friend ever since we first met. He is such a smart dog who loves to show off and has a patient and fun temperament. He is the one that sparked a passion for dog training. He knows well over 60 behaviors and many impressive stunt tricks. We competed in agility for a number of years and earned multiple titles. Today he is 13 and enjoying his retirement, although he still enjoys practicing his tricks and his daily walks.

Carmel

Carmel is a special dog, who had some severe insecurities when we first got him. He couldn’t go on a walk without being terrified of his surroundings. He was the first dog who really helped me understand dogs with these behaviors and watching his confidence grow was the most rewarding experience. Carmel is a very high drive Sheltie who loves to play fetch, go on hikes and show off his tricks.

Quigley

Quigley is my first shepherd and made me fall in love with the breed. She has the most goofy personality and loves everyone she meets. She is my Search and Rescue partner and certified in HRD (human remain detection). She is also my demo dog for classes and loves tagging along. Outside of her working dog life she enjoys hiking, swimming, fetch and being around her favorite people.
